Remix Culture and its Outcomes

Hello everybody, this is my Thingiverse 3D model mashup or remix of quite a few different objects i have found in the past week or two. I think that being able to recreate so many different things in the design world by just combining them and creating juxtaposition as well as creating new and different objects and sculptures and even music creates a very unique experience for the audience. Being able to get feed back on what you create instantaneously is also a very unique thing that happens today when having the ability to easily access the different creations of modern creatives, artists and musicians through the internet. I titled this Murder with a Side of Fries. This was a creation in regards to McDonald's and stuff like fast food or poor quality food and improper nutrition. These two objects create a very unique juxtaposition in regards to the subject matter i was approaching but may also be easily differently interpreted. The second set of objects are a anatomical heart and an organic lamp shade. this idea was based on the fact that i really wanted the heart to be the light because of how important it is to humans.
The third set of objects was the idea of incorporating statues that do no match together. Which was a javelin thrower and an Easter island head that resulted in a really difficult object to mesh together. This set of objects was a ship and an octopus. the idea was to make a ship that could swim and also manage without windThis is a vulpix with a demon skull mask and i was just interested in combining a very scary object with something that is generally considered cute
\This was just a creation in regards to making a pun i really enjoy word play and this really was something i can relate to

This is also just another pun that i really thought would be funny having a large poodle and naming it a teacup poodle because you added the object made it quite funnyThis i titled cautionary thinking it was just another play on words but i think that it has a very unique idea because you can combine two objects to create something that has a very sort of modernistic feel while still representing a large concept. This was created because i always liked giligans island and stories that involved small people and big places and an enourmous turtle with a castle on it created that juxtaposition that i was sort of looking for.
this was in the spirit of Halloween and just mixing up some odd objects to start of with and being as it is a frog fountain and a pumpkin it has an odd context in regards to the subject matter.

OBDF 110 Objectified Response

I have probably considered what my project should be for about a day and a half. I watched the documentary shortly after class, resulting in a particular view at the end of the documentary. The format of how they finished it propose how design will affect the world in the future and what these significant designers believe it can do to change the function and interaction of objects in relation to people. I believe that significantly design should be used to actually recreate certain systems that no longer function properly for human beings. So my idea was simplistic however when applied properly would in fact solve sustainability, some aspects of poverty as well as create a useful idea that may change the future. Something that does not already exist, which is an adjustable bed frame that should fit a mattress from single to king while having the possibility with a few more pieces to hold a blanket or carpet so that it may be put into use in places where they may not have a bed and would accommodate as many people as possible. The structure obviously had to be designed to hold up to stress from heavy set people to couples and possibly even families so the design is quite supportive and accommodating.

This design is simplistic in its concept however a lot more difficult to manufacture and quite possibly put together. However I see a lot of times where certain furniture could be adjustable and does not have to be disposed of or handed down every time someone grows so I believe that designing a bed that is able to shift and have multiple designs as children grow older. The other situation is that this is easy to move around and easy to assemble leaving it available to multiple groups of people who may not have access to beds to sleep on each night. This concept allows people to purchase the accessories on an as needed basis.

The problem with creating anything adjustable is that there will be many more pieces as the time goes on and trying to keep them manufactured at need will be harder. The other part of this is that the bed needs a design that functions up to a king size from twin or single the challenge with that is properly supporting only a blanket or an entire mattress along with heavier people so the materials holding it together will have to be of good quality and well thought out.

TinkerCAD First Day

Today was probably my first time in about 4 years since using a CAD program and i struggled a little bit today in class. I decided to come home and play with the program for a few hours and this is the result. Based on a Victorian/Elizabethan style of house with a couple modern touches, i like it quite a bit and my skills considerably improved while working on it. Time well spent!!
